Emmys 2012: Lena Dunham’s Girls Earns 4 Nominations
Jul 19, 2012 @ 12:10 pmBeyonce was right—who runs the world? Girls! Lena Dunham, the 26-year-old creative force behind HBO’s Girls, racked up four Emmy nominations for her show, including Best Comedy Actress, Outstanding Comedy Directing and Writing, and Best Comedy Series. The first-time nominee is one the youngest and most-talked about contenders, and we can’t wait to see if she walks away with any trophies when the awards air Sunday, September 23rd. We bet her stylist Brad Goreski is already cooking up something fabulous for the Brooklyn-loving hipster to wear to make her appearance a head-turning one! Tell us: Do you watch Girls?

I’m happy for Lena Dunham! Her character reminds me of myself right out of college and trying to find my way, before I landed my career at Dish. I think that ability to relate to the characters in the show is what makes it so likable. I’m glad I decided to record the series on a whim one day! I have the Hopper DVR with loads of recording space, so I have enough memory to just record shows on the hopes that they might turn out to be worthwhile. I would’ve never known about Girls otherwise! I hope Dunham sweeps the Emmy’s with this unique series!
