The Dark Knight Rises: Hello, Joseph Gordon Levitt

Jul 19, 2012 @ 7:00 pm

Step aside, Anne Hathaway—we can’t get enough of Joseph Gordon-Levitt! The 31-year-old actor keeps looking better and better on his promo tour for his role as John Blake/Robin in The Dark Knight Rises (in theaters Friday), and it’s about time we take a look. Things we noticed: He likes skinny ties (sometimes with diagonal stripes), a clean, sharp-fitting suit, and a good vest. Click through the gallery for some JGL eye candy. Because, why not?!

First Look: Sephora’s Cinderella Collection!

Jul 19, 2012 @ 5:52 pm

Cinderella is having a stylish year! Not long after Christian Louboutin gave her glass slippers a couture revamp, Sephora teamed up with Disney to create a limited-edition collection inspired by the princess. We got a sneak peek at the lineup, and we’re loving the regal perfume, four-shadow palette, and compact mirror, shown here. Also included: A six-piece nail polish set, four lipsticks, a roll-on fragrance, and a 20-shade palette inspired by the colors used in the animated film, all of which will land in stores this October. Plus, Sephora will roll out two more Disney princess-inspired collections, so be on the lookout for those in spring 2013 and fall 2014.

Dallas: Episode 7 Fashion Secrets

Jul 19, 2012 @ 4:40 pm

A new episode of Dallas premiered last night, and we caught up with the show’s costume designer, Rachel Sage Kunin, to get the exclusive details about the Texan looks she created, including the structured white jacket Rebecca (Julie Gonzalo) wore when she showed up at Elena’s (Jordana Brewster) cottage. “I put her in white to show some vulnerability,” Kunin said. “I love that this jacket also alludes to having the upper hand given its military style-she’s keeping in mind that what she wears has a psychological effect on those around her.” Click through for Kunin’s take on more of last night’s outfits!

Alicia Keys got a hair makeover! “Look what I done did,” the singer tweeted, along with photos of several different ways she styled her new bob, a big update from the below-the-shoulder length she had up until recently. “I like a little bit of everything,” she once told InStyle of her hairstyle inspiration. “When I was younger I was strictly told to wear only braids. But now I love it straight. I love it curly. I love it partially braided and combed to the back. I really love when it covers my eyes a little bit—then there’s a little mystery.” We love how she always goes for versatility!
