First Look: Kristi Yamaguchi’s Activewear Line
Jun 28, 2012 @ 5:11 pmKristi Yamaguchi‘s passion for fitness goes way beyond the ice rink! The gold-medal-winning figure skater is launching a new line of activewear, called Tsu.ya. “I’ve been an athlete all my life, and I wanted my clothes to transition from the gym to being a busy mom, running errands, and spending time with my kids,” Yamaguchi told InStyle.com. “I wanted something comfortable, but functional and fashionable, too.” The 18-piece lineup includes yoga pants, tanks, and jackets ranging in price from $40 to $150, and a portion of the proceeds go to the skater’s Always Dream Foundation, which works on improving early childhood literacy. Shop the collection when it debuts at Lord & Taylor stores this September.

I love the outfit shown above, it it sharp and doesn’t look like pajamas or sweats. The cut would be figure flattering for all sizes, so hopefully we won’t find it is only made for the already skinny woman…….that upsets me so much, I wear a bigger size in tops/jackets because of my wide shoulders, and when things are made for the thin woman, even an XL doesn’t give me room to move my arms. Hopefully, if she really wants women to be healthy and exercise, think of the many who really need to and still look nice, and don’t stop at size 16 (which is really a 14 when it comes to top name brands!)
