Ever since Louis Cartier designed the timepiece 95 years ago—inspired by a bird’s eye view of the center square cockpit and side treads of a tank—the jewelry company has produced around 20 variations of the style, including the 1980 Tank Américaine and the 1996 Tank Française. This year, Cartier launches the stunning Tank Anglaise, and in celebration, we’re taking a look back at some of the Tank’s most dazzling celebrity fans, from Angelina Jolie to Princess Diana.
