Brooklyn-based jewelry company Digby & Iona just launched a line of one-of-a-kind engagement rings. It’s a project that came to fruition after five years, as designer Aaron Ruff hand-picked each stone and designed according to its shape and size. ”Honestly, I just laid them out and the pieces designed themselves,” he says of the rings, each one named each after a character from cult-classic films like The Princess Bride and Labyrinth. “These stones were a natural fit, the crazy range of colors and imperfection made them so much more interesting than your run-of-the-mill brilliant cut.” See a selection from the line and read more about its creation in the gallery.
