Hugh Jackman on Anne Hathaway’s Haircut: ‘It’s Sexy!’

Before Hugh Jackman accepted his Special Tony Award at Sunday night’s ceremony, we caught up with the megastar on the red carpet to talk about something else very important: Anne Hathaway’s newly-shorn hair. “I thought it looked really cool,” Jackman told InStyle.com of his Les Miserables co-star—he plays Jean Valjean, while Hathaway is Fantine. “She did it live. She’s hardcore that girl. She’s hardcore!” And he’s right—you can see her real tears in a trailer for the upcoming musical, which hits theaters in December. So does he like it? “I think it looks kinda sexy, don’t you?” Jackman said. What a compliment!

Mad Men Season Finale: 36 Fun Facts About the Wardrobe

Goodbye to another fashionable season of Mad Men! After the season 5 finale aired on Sunday, we caught up with costume designer Janie Bryant to get the inside scoop on all the fabulous retro fashions, including the colorful dress Megan Draper (Jessica Paré) wore on the set of her first commercial shoot. “It was all about creating a ‘peasant princess,’ so to speak,” Bryant said of the fairytale look. “The Butler shoe campaign is a play on the story of Beauty and the Beast. I looked at old Disney films, like Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, for inspiration. From a lemonade stand to the ring toss, Stella McCartney turned New York City’s Marble Cemetery into a carnival to show off her new collection. Stars like Amy Poehler, Greta Gerwig, and Jim Carrey got into the spirit as models danced to the jazz music of the Soul Rebels Brass Band and sipped Belvedere cocktails. And what’s a carnival without candy apples? Solange Knowles snacked on the sticky dessert in her paisley McCartney mini as she watched her son, Daniel Julez Smith, Jr. try his hand at the games.
