Modern and down-to-earth. That’s the royals we need right now!

While I admire the Duchess’s attempts to use what she already has in her closet, I think this combination of the Jenny Packham dress and the Katherine Hooker jacket just doesn’t work. The pattern of the dress does not go well with the detail of the jacket. It looks like she is trying too hard to appear frugal. By all accounts I believe that Kate is doing a beautiful job in her new role as a royal, but I think either she needs a different stylist or needs to enlist one if she is going at it alone.

Applauding Kate’s realistic and creative approach to fashion. Only people without a fashion sense will toss out an outfit after one wearing. Not only is that selfish decadence-but says quite a bit about a person’s shallow personality.

I think she looks lovely. I don’t understand the fuss about using clothes again. I’m sure they cost more than the clothes most of us have, and I’d expect them to stand up to being worn many times. I know that if I buy an outfit I like, I want to wear it again and again.

I think she should wear clothes that are a fraction of the price of the pieces she’s wearing, then she could wear a different outfit all the time, for about the same price, maybe even less…that would be a smarter idea!
