When we asked Monet Mazur what her burning beauty question was, she told us she needed tips for styling her hair on the go—so we asked around! Hair guru Tippi Shorter had a great answer we can all use: If you don’t have time for a proper blow-dry, try a half-up, half-down look. Leave hair near the crown loose, slick the sides back, and secure with bobby pins. Tease the middle section, then gently brush it back over the bobby pins. Mist with hair-spray to secure the look and voila!

Last Night’s Parties: amfAR Honors Fergie and More!

Hilary Swank (in Marc Jacobs) showed her support for Fergie (in Calvin Klein) last night, who was honored with the Piaget Award of Inspiration at the amfAR Inspiration Gala, held at the New York Public Library. The honor, which recognizes her contributions to the fight against AIDS, was just one part of the mega-evening, which also included a performance by the Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders, a live auction, and a men’s fashion show featuring 79 different looks inspired by the Olympics (think star-spangled Speedos).
