Snow White Costumer Colleen Atwood Creates HSN Collection

Jun 1, 2012 @ 4:15 pm

Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood has worked on some of the most major movie costumes in recent history—Alice in Wonderland, Chicago, and Memoirs of a Geisha to name a few. Her latest? A new take on medieval clothes, dressing Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, and hundreds of extras for Snow White and the Huntsman, out today. And after years of working in the business, she finally decided to turn her attention to clothes for non-actors, creating a small collection of Snow White-inspired clothes for HSN, available starting this week. “I think the  medieval period is very modern,” Atwood told InStyle.com at the New York preview. “The designs are very simple and very today in a way, so I thought it would translate.” The pieces, ranging from $39 to $169, incorporate lace-up details, peasant blouses, and armor-like buckles on dresses, tops, and pants. See the lineup at hsn.com.
