It’s a match made in American Idol heaven: Season five seventh place finisher Ace Young proposed to season three runner-up Diana DeGarmo on last night’s season 11 finale (Phillip Phillips won, by the way). Ryan Seacrest invited the pair up to the stage, and Young surprised his love by getting down on one knee. “I love you to death, you’re my best friend I want to make this last forever,” he told 24-year-old DeGarmo, before pulling out the ring, a one-carat yellow diamond flanked by two white diamonds set in 18-karat yellow gold by David Webb Jewelry. “I’m shaking, I can’t even hold it,” Young, 31, said as he slipped it onto her finger. “It’s amazing what can happen out of this show,” Seacrest said.
