Chanel’s Cruise Collection: Our Favorite Looks

It took 16 tents, 480 seats, and three fountains to produce the beautiful spectacle that was Chanel’s cruise collection. Held at the Château de Versailles, the show’s pastel-bobbed and raven haired models walked in metallic lace-ups and heels along the restored Bosquet des 3 Fontaines. Fresh hues ranging from soft periwinkle to rich ruby decorated the 71 different looks in the show, which were accented with luxurious accents like gold embroidery, airy plumes and baroque embellishment. Fashion Star’s Finale Airs Tonight; Picked Up for Another Season

While the season finale of NBC’s Fashion Star airs tonight, it won’t be the last time it’s on TV! The show was just renewed for a second season, THR reports, which means we’ll be seeing more of mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos, as well as host Elle MacPherson. Tune in tonight at 9:30/8:30c on NBC to see who takes home the grand prize—a $6 million contract with Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and H&M. Diane Kruger’s Cannes Film Festival Wardrobe: All the Details

In celebration of the Cannes Film Festival, which starts tomorrow, we caught up with the event’s star jury member Diane Kruger to find out what she’s packing for France. “I feel like the Riviera, for whatever reason, has invited designers to be quite outrageous,” the actress told us at a luncheon for luxury timepiece label Jaeger LeCoultre. “People allow themselves to be extravagant. Last night, Emily Maynard handed out her first 25 roses on The Bachelorette in a $6,300 sequin-covered Jean Fares Couture gown, and we talked to the 26-year-old single mom about how she chose her first look. “Anyone who knows me knows how excited I get over any kind of sparkles or sequins, so the day I showed up at stylist Cary Fetman’s house, I thought I had died and gone to heaven!“ Maynard told InStyle.com exclusively. “He had racks and racks of some of the most amazing dresses I have ever seen. We tried on clothes for hours, and I absolutely love the Jean Fares Couture dress I wore on the first night.” The one shoulder blush chiffon gown featured an ombre design of silver, pink, rust and rose sequins. What did we expect at the What to Expect When You’re Expecting premiere? Nothing less than pretty off-the-runway looks from the cast’s leading ladies: Brooklyn Decker (in Giambattista Valli), Elizabeth Banks (in Alexander McQueen), Cameron Diaz (in Valentino), Jennifer Lopez (in Maria Lucia Hohan), and Anna Kendrick (in Elie Saab).
