Macy’s recently tapped Calvin Klein‘s Brazilian-born creative director Francisco Costa to design a capsule collection celebrating his home country, and now the line’s lookbook is here! Styles include architectural crepe and jersey dresses in the label’s signature neutrals. “The great love that I have for Brazilian architecture is represented here in subtle ways and in great cuts,” Costa told InStyle.com. “There’s a beautiful mix of materials, and the dresses are great for the city or the beach. It’s a Calvin-inspired product, but there’s a Brazilian ease and sensuality.” The lineup ranges from $135 to $185 and will land at select Macy’s stores and macys.com May 15th. Gisele Bündchen is back in front of the camera, this time for David Yurman. The jewelry company enlisted the Brazilian beauty to star in its fall 2012 campaign, and shot it in Malibu last weekend. “She has an inner-life,” Yurman told InStyle.com of the shoot at the Los Angeles benefit he hosted in support of children’s non-profit P.S. Arts last week. “I hate to use the word sexy, but she’s sensual and fluid and beautiful.” Some of the pieces modeled for the new collection, which feature new twists Yurman’s signature cable, are already shoppable now through David Yurman’s Facebook page. Meet the new Sleeping Beauty—Elle Fanning! The actress was tapped to play Princess Aurora in Maleficent, THR reports. In Disney’s 1959 Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora is 16, making her two years older than Fanning. Despite the small age difference, we think the actress is tough enough to take on Maleficent, who will be played by Angelina Jolie. The movie is set to hit theaters March 2014, and there’s no word yet on who will play the handsome prince who awakens Sleeping Beauty with a kiss. Tom Ford has dressed everyone from Jennifer Lawrence to Beyonce, but he’s most proud of the minimalist white gown and matching floor-length cape he gave Gwyneth Paltrow for her appearance at the 2012 Oscars. “I have to say that was my favorite fashion moment,” the designer told audiences at the 92nd Street Y’s “Fashion Icons” lecture series in New York City. “I loved the simplicity of it and I loved it for that moment in time.” A cape takes confidence to pull off, and Ford acknowledged that. “I love that Gwyneth was brave enough to do that,” he said. “And that she stood so perfectly in that outfit.” We agree—she topped our 2012 Oscars best-dressed list!
