Busy Philipps and Julie Bowen (in Prada) got in the tropical spirit to co-host a Huggies Hawaiian and Baby2Baby luau in Beverly Hills, which supported the organization’s mission to provide Los Angeles families in need with essential baby gear. “I’ve been involved with Baby2Baby since I became a new mom myself,” Philipps told InStyle.com. “You realize it takes a village and that’s why getting involved in a charity like this is so important.” Huggies pledged to donate 22 million diapers this year. When Emily Maynard begins her quest for love on The Bachelorette on May 14th, we’re sure to see her going on many dates in many dresses. “This is a girl who sees a sequined, shiny gown, and the world stops!” The Bachelor stylist Cary Fetman told InStyle.com. “She’s a typical Southern girl who loves to be glamorous.” When Maynard tried on clothes at the beginning of the season, she fell in love with this dusty pink Jean Fares Couture gown (worn with an eight-carat rose sapphire Michael M Collection ring). ”Emily wanted it to be an important dress,” Fetman said. “It was too big to be a ‘first night gown’ because guys wouldn’t be able to get close to her, and it wouldn’t have worked for the finale because it was too stiff. So we compromised, and she wore it at the ABC photoshoot.” Are you excited to watch Emily on The Bachelorette? Tell us in the comments!

Jennifer Lawrence chose a few pieces by Prabal Gurung for her Hunger Games tour in March, which put a big smile on the New York designer’s face. “She’s kind of the girl who I design for,” Gurung told InStyle.com at the opening of Nicholas Kirkwood’s Manhattan store. “She’s young, beautiful, and she makes smart choices about films.” He worked with her to get each metallic look just right, saying each “fit perfectly.” “The only hard part was me wondering ‘Is she really going to wear it?’” he said. So, when she did slip into Gurung’s gold lame gown for the Hollywood premiere, he was thrilled, along with someone else: “It made me look like a really, really cool uncle to my 5-year-old niece!”

Schiaparelli is having a moment! Nearly 40 years after the death of Elsa Shiaparelli, the Italian fashion designer’s iconic label is the focus of this year’s Costume Institute exhibit at the Met, and, thanks to Italian business titan Diego Della Valle, her line is set to enjoy a revival, WWD reports. Between the two World Wars, Elsa Schiaparelli was one of fashion’s most prominent figures, and she’s credited with the invention of brightly colored zippers, mix-and-match sportswear, and the wedge shoe. Della Valle will name a designer to head up the project this September, and Schiaparelli’s first collection since 1954 will debut next February, with an emphasis on accessories and cosmetics. What an exciting comeback!
