Nothing says glamour like a true red lip and winged eyeliner, and Scarlett Johansson—and her makeup artist Emma Lovell—got it just right at the London premiere of The Avengers. “Combining a Hollywood lip with a shaped eyebrow and a flick of eyeliner is one of my favourite make up looks for its simple but powerful elegance,” Lovell told InStyle exclusively. To create the graphic line, Lovell used Hourglass Calligraphy liquid eyeliner in ebony ($32; hourglasscosmetics.com), an inky black liquid liner with an ultra-fine pen tip, and finished it off with a swipe of Dolce & Gabbana Secret Eyes mascara from root to tip ($29; saksfifthavenue.com). Her advice: Go light on the lower lash line—the power from this look comes from its exaggerated winged-out edge.

Wow I knew there was a reason you were doing such great tighns. Just read your twitter bio and I see you that you are one of my Sorors and a fellow HBCU graduate. I went over Spg. 96 at Wilberforce University (Beta chapter). Awesome to connect with another great Soror doing great tighns in the community. Our work at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Detroit is going great despite budget cuts from Federal funding we are moving forward and serving more youth in the Detroit area. Last year we served 1250 youth this year we’re shooting for 1500!

How did I miss this? I am loving this cat eye look on Scarlett. Great tips! I recently read that she is a fan of Beth Bender’s Get in Line Eyeliner Stencil Kit. It has a cat eyeliner stencil that does a cat eye super fast. Seems pretty cool. I found this link if anyone wants to check it out.
