Exclusive Details: The Making of ABC’s Titanic Costumes

This weekend, ABC will run a four-part miniseries called Titantic, which marks the 100th anniversary of the ship’s sinking on April 15, 1912. Costume designer James Keast spent hours searching eBay for the perfect vintage accessories and scoured car boot sales (garage sales out of car trunks) in London for unique materials. “I’d buy lots of antique lace, beading, ribbons and buttons to pair with modern, stronger fabrics,” Keast told InStyle.com. “A scrap piece of rubbish to someone else could be a fantastic piece of lace to me!” See how he painstakingly recreated the wardrobe of Titanic passengers in the gallery, and watch the first part of the series Saturday at 8/7c on ABC.

HBO debuts a new show about four women living in New York City this Sunday, but it’s nothing like the network’s previous female-driven smash, Sex and the City. Girls stars Zosia Mamet, Jemima Kirke, Lena Dunham, and Allison Williams as four friends trying to launch their post-college lives—with eclectic wardrobes to match. “We wanted their clothes to be different and unique from the cast’s everyday lives, we wanted to tell a story,” the show’s costume designer Jenn Rogien told InStyle.com. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Engaged: See the Engagement Ring!

Angelina Jolie is wearing an engagement ring, according to jewelry designer Robert Procop, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Procop said that he worked with her longtime beau Brad Pitt to develop the multi-diamond design to fit perfectly on Jolie’s finger. ”Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration,” Procop said. As for how Procop scored the high-profile clients? Jolie currently designs her own collection for the Beverly Hills jeweler, The Style of Jolie, sales of which are donated to building schools in Afghanistan. The pair have been together since 2004, and have six children.
