Last night, Dancing With the Stars lost its most enthusiastic contestant: Sherri Shepherd. She wasn’t shy about her love for her professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy, and neither are we! We’ll miss the often-shirtless dance pro just as much as The View host. Shepherd admitted she was scared to do the show, but each week she gained more confidence. After her tango on Monday night, she tweeted a photo in her bustier with netted sleeves and wrote, “Costume designed by @IamValc – [love] it so much I’m going grocery shopping with it on!” Bye, Sherri! Bye, Val!

Check out all the contestants (and their costumes!) from season 14 in the gallery. Who are you rooting for?

4 New Nail Polish Colors to Wear to a Wedding

Apr 11, 2012 @ 12:20 pm

We often hear the question ‘round these offices: What nail polish looks great with a wedding dress? While our answer ranges—it depends on the bride, really—tried-and-true nail star Essie Weingarten of Essie came up with her own solution: Her new Vow to Wow bridal-inspired palette. The four-piece lineup is full of demure, pastel hues that go beyond the sheer neutrals you typically see. “I’m dedicating the collection to brides who are confident and want to have fun with color,” Weingarten told InStyle.com exclusively. “The pale shades are marvelously understated, and complement the new neutral shades of bridal fashions.” Preview all of the colors in the gallery, and shop them for $8 each at salons and essie.com later this month.

Fashion Star Episode 5: See the Winning Looks (And Our Top Pick)

Apr 11, 2012 @ 11:20 am

The designers were paired into teams on last night’s Fashion Starand one contestant who failed to make any sales so far walked away with a bid—Ronnie Escalante. Escalante’s little magenta, floral, and black dress won over Macy’s buyer Caprice Willard ($119 at macys.com), and the design in pretty posy print also earned our title of our Favorite Look of the Week. We love how the full-coverage front gives way to a low V-neck back with a seamed collar—a subtle touch that makes a difference. See the rest of the night’s winning designs in the gallery.
