Emily Blunt wore a polished low bun for the New York premiere of Salmon Fishing in the Yemen last night, and we caught up with her hairstylist Laini Reeves to find out how to get the look. “I wanted to transform her cute bob into something new, so we decided on a modern ballerina bun with a slightly messy texture,” Reeves told InStyle.com. After drying Blunt’s hair, she applied Nohona Organic Coconut Oil from roots to ends ($20 at nohonaproducts.com). She then sectioned off areas and twisted them into a messy knot, securing the style with bobby pins. “The key thing to remember is not to use a brush while styling, otherwise you’ll lose the carefree texture,” Reeves advised. How counter-intuitive!
