If you were watching television last night at 9pm, you may have seen Cartier’s 3-minute L’Odyssée and thought “That’s gorgeous, but what’s going on here?” The mesmerizing mini-epic advertisement follows a panther around the globe as it encounters elements of Cartier’s history depicted in a surreal style.  It took two years to produce, features an original score, jaw-dropping special effects, and three panthers—Cali, Tiga and Damou—filling the leading role of the firm’s mascot. Click through the gallery to learn more about L’Odyssée, and see some of the label’s most iconic pieces!

I was walking by the TV and the commercial came on. I stopped dead in my tracks. I couldn’t stop watching it. It was just beautiful. Well Done Cartier!
