Tory Burch honed in on a classic love story for her fall 2012 collection—fitting, as she showed her new lineup on Valentine’s Day. “It was the idea of this prim and polished girl that was interested in the wrong guy,” she told InStyle.com. “She’s sexy, but not overtly, not really knowing she’s sexy.” To bring this story to life through fashion, Burch produced more structured and fitted silhouettes, like pencil skirts, skinny pants, ruched dresses, and tops appliquéd with 3D tulle. Her always sought-after accessories included boxy bags, clutches with brooch-like floral embellishments, T-strap and spectator shoes with high, skinny heels, and floral drop earrings.
