Naomi Watts just scored a royal role! The actress is set to play Princess Diana in Caught in Flight, a drama about the last two years of the Princess of Wales’s life, Deadline reports. ”It is such an honor to be able to play this iconic role,” Watts said in a statement. “Princess Diana was loved across the world and I look forward to rising to the challenge of playing her on screen.” Caught in Flight begins filming later this year. And Princess Diana isn’t the only icon Watts is bringing to the big-screen—she’s also playing Marilyn Monroe in Blonde, an adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’s novel about the late actress.
