What’s the secret behind Tilda Swinton‘s red-carpet style? She’s comfortable in whatever she wears! “I wouldn’t dream of describing my style,” the actress told InStyle.com at this year’s Golden Globes. “One man’s risk taking is another man’s comfort zone. I mean, nobody can really claim to be a risk taker. You just do what you feel comfortable in.” Swinton also said she draws style inspiration from androgynous icons like “Grace Jones and, of course, David Bowie.” Take a look at some of her avant-garde choices above—from left, Haider Ackermann, Lanvin, Haider Ackermann and Yves Saint Laurent)—and see the rest of this year’s Golden Globes arrivals in the gallery.

Pantone declared Tangerine Tango the color of 2012, and stars like Jennifer Hudson, Vanessa Hudgens, Rashida Jones, and Alexa Chung have already incorporated the hot hue into their beauty routines. Tangerine is a sunnier, warmer alternative to the traditional red, and even better, it flatters almost every skin tone. Case in point: a punchy citrus pucker looks great on both Hudson and Jones, while Hudgens and Chung both tried a spring-appropriate mandarin polish. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) looked gorgeous in her Vera Wang wedding gown on last night’s episode of Gossip Girl, but did Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) pull a Pippa and upstage the bride? Maybe, according to the show’s costume designer Eric Daman, who had the royal sister-in-law in mind when he picked out Serena’s Vera Wang maid of honor look. “I turned around and saw this beautiful pink chiffon gown, it was actually a bridal dress. It looked like peonies to me,” Daman told us of how he chose Serena’s style. “In old-world weddings, the bridesmaids would be wearing gowns, while the maid of honor would be wearing something a bit more glamorous. It’s very Kate and Pippa.” Tell us, did you prefer Blair or Serena’s royal wedding style?
