For Gossip Girl’s upcoming 100th episode airing Monday, January 30th, Blake Lively’s character Serena van der Woodsen will channel Marilyn Monroe for a bubbly “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” dream sequence. And she’s not the only actress who took a turn as the icon! Michelle Williams just received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her role as the bombshell in My Week With Marilyn, and Katharine McPhee will be fighting for the lead role in a musical about Monroe’s life in her upcoming TV show, Smash. See these and more famous Marilyn portrayals in the gallery.

You can dress up as Marilyn, but if you’re not a beauty like she was, you just can’t pull it off. Blake Lively, looks the worst, and all the others in these photos look like they are old enough to be Marilyn’s mother.
