Lauren Conrad Used Pink Chalk to Dye Her Hair
Jan 24, 2012 @ 1:30 pmThis weekend, Lauren Conrad Tweeted a picture of her new pink strands—and we got the inside scoop on how she created it! “We used chalk!” her colorist Kristin Ess told us exclusively. “It’s a super-fun way to temporarily color your ends because it washes right out. But it’s best when worn in a bun because it will get on your clothes.” Ess also told us that she and Conrad will be posting a full how-to on their site thebeautydepartment.com tomorrow. And this isn’t the first time Conrad tried color: she previously worked peach tips and blue highlights. I tried this a couple of months ago, and it works wonderfully. I found that oil pastels are longer lasting than chalk. It looks really cute and believable!
