Good news, Sex and the City fans! The CW officially ordered a TV show pilot based on Candace Bushnell‘s Sex and the City prequel novel, The Carrie Diaries, THR reports. The series centers on Carrie Bradshaw during her senior year of high school in the early 1980s, way before she discovered Manolos and Mr. Big. With producers from Gossip Girl and the original Sex and the City series on board, we can’t wait to see the show’s premiere! Tell us, who would you pick to play a young Carrie Bradshaw?

I was actually hoping this was going to be turned into a movie with Blake Lively playing Carrie. Perfect casting. But now that it’s going to be a TV show, my guess is that they’ll find an unknown, since Lively isn’t going to appear on a second high school series.
