The Golden Compass wasn’t Bob Shaye’s baby, it was Deborah Forte’s. Bob Shaye was the bastard who ****ed it up right at the end of proctduion. He’s also the one responsible for the problems between New Line and Peter Jackson. I for one am not sorry to see that he’s getting the boot.
