Going, going, gone! Memorable dresses are raking in big bucks at recent auctions. First, Princess Diana’s second wedding dress and shoes (her emergency copy) sold for $132,500 this week, the Telegraph reports. At the same auction, the polka-dot chiffon frock Amy Winehouse wore on the cover of the Back to Black, fetched more than $67,120 by Musea de la Moda—a fashion museum in Santiago, Chile. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, a charity set up in the singer’s memory to help young people. But is this just a warm up? The bidding for Elizabeth Taylors collection of clothing and jewelry at Christie’swhich will include more than 300 itemsstarts online this Saturday.
