In The Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen’s braid is one of the most important parts of her look. So, with the movie adaptation coming out this March, the film’s lead hairstylist Linda Flowers worked tirelessly to perfect the side-swept style for Katniss (played by Jennifer Lawrence) on the big screen. And now you can score the same look with the help of our Hollywood Makeover Tool! Simply upload your photo, and you’ll have the plaited pony in an instant—no dye, no twists required. Then, be sure to share your look with your friends on Facebook and Twitter. As for how it will turn out? May the odds be ever in your favor! Go ahead, try it now by clicking the link below.

How do I “try it on”? There’s no directions?

Haha… I’ve been braiding my hair like this since jr high. Try looking up french braids, that is all they did, just left some of the bangs out!

Something like this might help – You can use a light spray if you have a lot of loose ends or if you curl the extra bangs, but I usually don’t. :)

It is a dutch braid that is “french braided”. You still dutch braid it, but keep adding strands. Start at the top of your head on one side, then dutch braid is all the way to the side. When you get to the end of the head braid, switch hands and braid the rest. I like to tie off with a clear ponytail, makes it look seamless. ; )
