Jason Wu has a new gig—designing bathroom fixtures! The celebrity-favorite designer lent his style expertise to the luxury fixture brand Brizo to create a collection of drawer pulls, wastebaskets, soap dishes and other bathroom accessories in matte black, polished chrome and brushed nickel. “It was an exciting challenge combining my design aesthetic with the innovative technology of Brizo products,” Wu said of the project. One standout piece: the designer’s “Odin” faucet, which comes with a built-in LED display that uses shades of light from blue to magenta to red to indicate water temperature. The fixtures, ranging from $15 to $799, will be available next spring at Brizo retailers (see a store locator) and brizo.com, while the faucet is available for pre-order now. While Vera Wang may have produced two Kim Kardashian-inspired gowns for her latest White by Vera Wang for David’s Bridal collection, the entire lineup features many more styles—sans Kardashian flavor. The pieces range from a party-ready little white dress for $500 to an organza petal ballgown for $1,500. The designer also introduced pink hues this time around, like a rose-print dress and a blush tulle ballgown. Two new bridesmaid styles are also available, starting from $158, while new offerings for shoes and hair accessories start at $88. The entire collection will be available starting January 2012—preview it now in the gallery.

The Muppets are back and more fashionable than ever, thanks to their designer friends! Over the weekend, our November model Miss Piggy attended the film’s L.A. premiere in a white silk Jeremy Scott gown. ”Thanks 2 my wonderful Divalicious friend for making me look fab,” the puppet Tweeted. Not to be outdone, the love of her life Kermit works two looks from Brooks Brothers in The Muppets movie—a notch lapel tuxedo and a flannel coat and trousers topped off with a cashmere scarf, shown. Catch all the felted fashion when the movie hits theaters November 23rd.

Evelyn Lauder—a cosmetics executive and breast cancer activist—passed away on Saturday at the age of 75 from complications of non-genetic ovarian cancer. During her career at Estée Lauder, Mrs. Lauder helped oversee some of the brand’s biggest successes including Clinique and the best-selling fragrances Pleasures and Beautiful. In 1993, four years after being diagnosed with breast cancer, she founded the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and co-created the pink ribbon campaign, now a worldwide symbol of breast health. “She was an incredible inspiration to everyone in our industry,” says InStyle Beauty Director Amy Synnott. “Her dedication to breast cancer research raised the bar in terms of what one person—and one cosmetics company—could do to make a difference in the world.” Lauder is survived by her husband, two sons and five grandchildren.

Dita Von Teese showed up to the MOCA Annual Gala in Los Angeles on Friday in an haute couture gown by Jean Paul Gaultier—the same look she wore three days earlier for the opening of the designer’s exhibit in Dallas. Why twice in one week? “When a dress costs as much as a Mercedes, you want to wear it more than once,” she told InStyle.com at the L.A. event. “This is my favorite dress in the world. I’ve worn it about four times. Jessica Simpson is one happy mom-to-be! “I feel so secure with myself and I’m loving the way I look,” she told InStyle.com at the launch of her latest project, beautymint.com, which delivers monthly anti-aging product suggestions personalized for each user. “I’m still so connected to my body, but it’s a deeper connection than anything I’ve ever felt before. For right now, I want to focus on being healthy for my baby. And if I have cravings, I go with them.” Simpson also confessed she figured out the secret to the pregnancy glow. “People always say that when you’re pregnant, you glow, but I say it’s because of all sweating you do!” she laughed.
