What does a century in color look like? The experts behind Pantone sought out the answer for their new book, Pantone: The 20th Century in Color, out this week. Compiled by Pantone collaborators Leatrice Eiseman and Keith Recker, the tome looks back at pivotal moments in history and finds the Pantone hues that defined them, from Grace Kelly‘s aquamarine gown to James Dean’s iconic tangerine jacket. See some of our favorite fashion moments from its inner pages in the gallery, and scoop it up for yourself for $40 at chroniclebooks.com.
