Oct 25, 2011 @ 5:15 pm

Check out Alice Cullen’s bridesmaid dress for the wedding scene in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1! After a few hints about the look from Ashley Greene, who plays the otherworldly character, Summit Entertainment finally released a promo photo, and you can see she’s wearing a beaded flapper-like lavender number to the Swan-Cullen wedding. “I loved it,” she told InStyle.com of the look. “It was a collaboration for the dress. We wanted to have all the bridesmaids fit together and also have their own identity. So, we took a little bit of Alice’s past and put it into her dress.” And this is the result! Hayden Panettiere Designs Jewelry Now!

Oct 25, 2011 @ 3:30 pm

Hayden Panettiere is a jewelry designer now! “These are chains that my best friend and I make,” she told InStyle.com at Variety’s annual Power of Youth event in Los Angeles this weekend, pointing the strands accessorizing her white top. “It’s a company called Chain Gang. We haven’t really said much about it, but we hand-make them ourselves.” The actress, who was at the event to receive an honor for her work on behalf of The Whaleman Foundation, uses clay beads, stones, and turtle and gorilla skull charms to craft the necklaces, which she calls part-feminine, part-punky. However, her creations are not available for the masses just yet. “We’d really like to start in maybe little boutiques and have it be an underground thing.”

To get the answer, we turned to Hal Rubenstein, InStyle Fashion Director and author of the new book 100 Unforgettable Dresses, out today ($35 at amazon.com). “An unforgettable dress isn’t merely beautiful,” he says. “It’s about the right dress on the right woman at the right time. Ultimately, it alters how others dress the morning after, how we see pop culture, and how we see ourselves.” See 10 of his most memorable looks in recent history in the gallery, from Jennifer Lopez’s plunge dress to Elizabeth Hurley’s safety-pin look.
