Reem Acra showed off her newest bridal collection this month, and it offers modern interpretations of traditional gowns. On one hand, she debuted light-as-air ballgowns crafted with laser-cut organza and tulle skirts, an element the designer calls “the new lace.” On the other, she added a touch of sexiness by slicing a thigh-high slit into floor-length sequin dresses covered in translucent hand-embroidered pailettes. She also designed three new dresses for her recently-released Royal Collection, though her standout princess reference had to be the gown she named “The Duchess,” shown here. “I gave it this title because of its royal connotations, which relates directly to my loyal clientele,” Acra told InStyle.com. An elaborate headpiece only added to the fairytale appeal. Click through the gallery to see Reem Acra’s newest bridal collection now.
