The remake of Footloose is inspiring footwear designers to update their red boot offerings! While Julianne Hough wears Frye kicks on the big screen as the millennial version of Ariel Moore, Twiggy and Matt Bernson both created new styles for their HSN lines in honor of the film. “My inspiration from the movie is a celebration of life and dance and trying to give a witty nod to Ariel’s iconic red boot,” Bernson tells InStyle.com, referencing the original 1984 Ariel actress Lori Singer. Meet Bhutan’s Kate Middleton! The country’s King Jigme, 31, married college student Jetsun Pema, 21, yesterday, making her Queen of Bhutan. The colorful Buddhist wedding was broadcast live to the country’s 700,000 residents. The bride wore traditional Kira robes, which took three years to weave. After the ceremony, set in a Himalayan fortress, the royals went outside to shake hands with their citizens—Pema in a new silk-covered crown.
