Jenny Packham’s Gossip Girl Moment

Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and Charlie Rhodes (Kaylee DeFer) modeled for Jenny Packham in last night’s episode of Gossip Girl! Blair wore runway look #32 from the designer’s spring 2011 collection, while Charlie chose runway look #34. “That collection was very metallic, quite textured, flowing, but neutral with golds and silvers,” Packham recently told InStyle.com of her Gossip Girl fashion show. The designer wished she could have been there to watch it herself, but there were conflicts. “Unfortunately, I couldn’t do it. It had to do with permits. A new episode of Rachel Bilson‘s TV show Hart of Dixie aired last night, and we have all the designer details about what she wore. Her latest looks include Max Azria, Chloe and Alexander Wang pieces. Co-star Jaime King, who plays Southern belle Lemon Breeland, recently told InStyle.com that her character views Bilson’s edgy Dr. Zoe Hart style as inappropriate. “She grew up in a very traditional family, where if you’re a doctor you don’t wear short shorts while you’re healing someone,” King said. California Bans Teens from Tanning Beds

California minors under the age of 18 aren’t allowed to use tanning beds anymore. This week, the state’s Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill into law to prevent children and teens under 18 from using tanning beds, the Washington Post reports. Although Texas has banned the use of tanning beds for children under 16, California is the first state to set a higher age limit, which will go into effect as of January 1, 2012. Is this the start of a tanning revolution?

Zoolander Returns With a New Look!

Derek Zoolander returned! The hilarious fashion model character played by Ben Stiller made an appearance on the Weekend Update segment of Saturday Night Live over the weekend, ten years after the original release of the Zoolander movie. And he came to talk Halloween. “I’m not wearing a costume,” he told the audience. “I’m just wearing my new look: Cold Coffee.” Spoiler alert: It’s just like Blue Steel, only the 2011 version. Next up—pretty peach! “On Wednesday, I’m dyeing my ends peach,” she told InStyle.com at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in California this weekend. “I did a poll on my website, and peach won.” It’s true—72% of fans polled on her site thebeautydepartment.com voted yes to the colorful tips over her traditional blond hue. Her inspiration? Pop culture (My Little Pony dolls) and the runway (the orange streaks at Peter Som), she wrote.
