Prabal Gurung took a high-fashion approach to athletic elements for his spring 2012 collection. Track shorts looked luxe in laser-cut floral mesh, adding to the exciting mix of textures like feathers, lace, and leather. The palette offered various shades of violet, from grape to dahlia to orchid to mulberry—even on the lips—while sweet floral prints got a bad-girl edge thanks to criss-crossing leather straps. Gurung accessorized the collection by collaborating with Linda Farrow for oversize cat-eye glasses and Nicholas Kirkwood for strappy black and purple heels.
