As much as I avoid wearing pantyhose myself (too hot most times) I think it has always really complimented your legs. It evens out color, hides veins or discolorations, and smooths out bumpy knees.

You are right Lyn. I saw a picture of Sarah Jessica Parker’s feet and stockings would have helped a lot. Because of years of heels her feet now look so bad. Broken veins and lumpy looking, really ugly. I felt bad for her feet.

Duchess Catherine is royalty now and I think it gives her a more polished, elegant look. Her standards are quite different from the average girl on the street. It is nice to see some sort of a “dress code” being upheld.

It’s required of her as a member of royalty, plain and simple.

I recently purchased a new pair of pantyhose that were a 12 denier and I compared them to the ones I purchased a while ago from a drug store and WOW what a difference. When I did wear the new ones, they didn’t bother me. I didn’t get that hot in them and I had to tell a friend that I was wearing pantyhose, she couldn’t tell; which is the whole point. I did the research on them from mytights.com and now I know how to shop for pantyhose. I will always wear pantyhose when in a dress or skirt, it just looks better!

Always thought nylons (USA) were an enhancement when wearing a dress or suit. Never ever work in dress/suitwithout. Years ago, always tried to color coordinate (dating myself). But very professional career, and almost always wore suits. Control top at the time. Before spankx. Still control stops/skip the spanks.

I live in the U.S. but I always used to wear pantyhose back when I lived in England, it’s the only way to wear a dress and not freeze.
