Oscar de la Renta’s New Fragrance: Live In Love

Oscar de la Renta invited InStyle to his home today for a first glimpse of his new fragrance, Live In Love. The perfume’s fresh floral scent comes from a heady mix of Lily of the Valley, rose, and jasmine, flowers all found in his own garden (we took a picture, shown at right). Live In Love’s name is meant to inspire women, de la Renta told us, to cherish every day and find love all around them. He was moved to name the scent Live In Love after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. Though he is the picture of health today, the experience motivated him to spread an inspiring message through his new fragrance. Live In Love will debut this October.

Costume designer Bob Mackie—famous for creating looks for Cher, Bette Midler, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez and Barbie—recently opened his archive of fashion illustrations for his fans to buy. The 46-image repertoire includes drawings of showgirls, flower girls, and elegant evening looks, and each one comes matted and framed. And he’s not just staying behind his sketch pad—he also stars in the label’s first-ever super-steamy campaign, as seen here. His line is inspired by California and actually named after an intersection in Venice where Lutz lives. And he didn’t do it all on his own—he teamed up with Dylan George founder Danny Guez to create the label. Emma Watson became the face for Lancôme’s Tresor Midnight Rose perfume earlier this year, and now the campaign is out! “The fragrance is very wholesome in some way, it’s very sweet and warm and playful,” Watson explained in a behind-the-scenes video. “There’s something magic about midnight and the concept of a flower that blooms at this time.” See the entire Mario Testino-shot campaign in the gallery.

Pippa Middleton is now inspiring babies! The Daily Mail reports that Pippa—and the formal version, Phillipa—is the most popular name searched on the baby namesite Nameberry.com so far this year, with page views for the name soaring since the Royal Wedding. Elula, Luna, Hadley, and Mila (as in Mila Kunis) round out the top five searched baby girl names on the site, while Asher, Arlo, Everett, Flynn, and Archer were popular searches for baby boys.
