Eva Mendes’ Nostalgic Connection to Thierry Mugler!

Last night, Eva Mendes premiered Thierry Mugler’s new Angel Eau de Toilette scent, and we caught up with the actress to get all the details on her partnership with the brand. “I was so excited to collaborate with Thierry Mugler, because it’s a scent that I grew up loving,” she told InStyle exclusively. “It came out while I was still in school, and both of my sisters and my mother liked to wear the fragrance. It’s really nostalgic for me! Mugler was definitely a big name in our household when I was a kid.” The Angel Eau de Toilette launches in August, and is a lighter, airier version of the classic scent. Not to worry, all is well with the teen heatthrob, who made it safely inside (and not a hair out of place!) to pose with a bottle of his sweet scent. Bethanie Mattek-Sands’ Tennis Ball Jacket: The Inside Scoop!

Bethanie Mattek-Sands wore a tennis ball and fringe-covered jacket by Alex Noble to Wimbledon 2011 this week. We caught up with the designer, inset, for the inside scoop.

How long did it take you to create the jacket? “The jacket took about a week all-in-all with figuring out patterns and cutting the balls out.”

What was the inspiration? “The jacket had to be white to keep in line with the Wimbledon rules, so that was the first inspiration. After the tennis ball gown, I wanted to create something a bit tougher, more of a street tennis look.”

What was your reaction to seeing Bethanie in the look? “I haven’t seen it yet as I’m away, but really looking forward to it as the response has been so positive.”
