For every pair of $135 sunglasses purchased, TOMS will help give sight to people in need through medical treatment, prescription eyeglasses, and sight-saving surgery. “As I was out there distributing shoes, I saw many of the needs of people in the developing world, and vision impairments can be dealt with in an immediate way,” TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie (inset) told InStyle. The three styles of sunglasses feature symbolic stripes on the sides. “The first stripe represents you, the bright stripe at the back is the person who has been given sight, and the white stripe in the middle is TOMS, who brought these two people together,” Mycoskie explains.
