CFDA Awards 2011: InStyle’s Hal Rubenstein Accepts Founder’s Award
Jun 7, 2011 @ 2:00 pmAt last night’s CFDA Fashion Awards, Jessica Alba presented InStyle’s fashion director Hal Rubenstein with the highly-prestigious CFDA Founder’s Award for his contribution to the world of fashion. “No man or woman puts together a look with the swagger of Hal Rubenstein,” Alba told the fashion industry crowd. “He was one of the first to shape the way the world thinks about celebrity, and just as importantly, he showed women everywhere how to incorporate red-carpet glamour into their everyday lives.” Rubenstein then took the stage to express his thanks, and touched upon the goal of his 17-year career at the magazine: “To make every woman believe that they can get dressed and look in the mirror and hopefully feel the way my mom did when she saw herself in my father’s eyes.” Congratulations!
