New York City was the center of the party scene last night! Mary J. Blige, Halle Berry and Fergie took home awards at the Fragrance Foundation’s annual FiFi Awards, held at Lincoln Center. “I’m really proud of this honor,” said Berry, who was presented with the inaugural Elizabeth Taylor Celebrity Fragrance of the Year award for her Pure Orchid scent. “Elizabeth Taylor was an icon. I aspire to have a [brand] that would even compare to hers.” Also in the Big Apple, Hilary Duff kicked off Sobe’s “Try Everything” Challenge with a round of melon bowling, Whitney Port toasted the 125th anniversary of Coca-Cola, and leading ladies Rose Byrne and January Jones walked the red carpet at the premiere of X Men: First Class. Jennifer Lopez’s American Idol Outfit: Season Finale!

American Idol wrapped up its tenth season last night, and Jennifer Lopez made sure to end the show with a bang! The judge sparkled in a sequined Michael Kors jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, gold Gucci heels, and Tous jewelry (Lopez is the face of the brand). “We tend to place a lot of focus on the upper body by using fun accessories and tops with intricate necklines, since she is spending the majority of the time sitting behind the judge’s table” the star’s stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn told InStyle. The Venus global ambassador later came out from behind the judges’ table to perform a duet with her husband Marc Anthony, where she wore a fringed white mini. Halle Berry and Fergie Win at Fifi Fragrance Awards

The Fragrance Foundation hosted the 2011 FiFi Awards last night, and Halle Berry took home the “Best Celebrity Fragrance of the Year” prize for her scent, Reveal. “I think it’s reflective of a part of myself,” Berry told InStyle exclusively. The actress, who arrived in slinky Halston gown with waist-high cut-outs, shared her scent’s secret ingredient—rare orchids! “It’s got some sweet notes in it but always at the bottom, there’s a musky sexiness to it.” Even Berry’s daughter Nahla is a fan. “I have four fragrances now and she tries them all out,” the actress said. “She’s a very girly girl.” Fergie won the “New Celebrity Fragance of the Year Award” for Outspoken. “I want women to feel comfortable in their skin,” the pop star told us. “To say what they feel and to mean what they say.”

The Hunger Games Casts Lenny Kravitz as Cinna

While many of the main characters like Katniss, Gale, Peeta and Haymitch have been cast in The Hunger Games trilogy, we’ve been waiting to see who will play the young, flashy stylists. While his partner Portia has yet to be revealed, Kravitz will fill the pivotal role of Cinna, who takes the spotlight as the creative force behind Katniss’ (Jennifer Lawrence) intense style transformation and risk-taking opening ceremonies ensemble. Other than his appearance in 2009′s Precious, Kravitz has little other recent screen time, which will undoubtedly lead to speculation on how he’ll portray the innovative, friendly stylist we fell in love with in the books. American Idol Season Finale: Scotty McCreery Won!

The results are in: Scotty McCreery is the winner of American Idol‘s tenth season! The seventeen-year-old crooner beat out country singer Lauren Alaina, continuing the show’s four-season streak of male winners. A record 122.4 million votes were cast after Tuesday’s performance episode, bringing the total votes for Season 10 up to more than 730 million—the highest number of Idol votes ever! “It’s been a year since Lauren and I tried out,” McCreery said after hearing the results. “We’ve been together since day one and we’re going to stay together.” The winner took the stage to sing his first single, “I Love You This Big,” but McCreery’s wasn’t the only major performance of the night.
