American Idol creator Simon Fuller was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday, and the celebs came out to celebrate! Jennifer Lopez, along with co-star Randy Jackson, showed support for their show’s producer at the ceremony in Los Angeles. Over in New York City, The Hangover Part 2 crew partied together at a screening of their film, while more stars stepped out uptown for an event at the Museum of Modern Art. Burberry Cosmetics fans have a new way to wear the luxury label’s signature lipstick—as a mist! The brand’s new “Lip Mists” ($30) deliver a soft wash of vibrant color that stays put for up to three hours. Launched this month, the lipsticks contain wild rose extract, a natural carrier of Vitamin C that helps to keep the lips hydrated and delivers a light rosy scent. The collection is currently available at Nordstrom stores, Nordstrom.com and Burberry.com, and colors range from deep berry shades to Burberry-trench-coat tans.

The Inside Scoop on Penelope Cruz’s Fake Bangs

At the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, Penelope Cruz made us do a double-take when she sported piecey, above-the-brow fringe on a Saturday (left) and then five days later, the cute bangs were nowhere to be found (right). We couldn’t help asking her hairstylist Andy LeCompte if he employed a few faux pieces to created the adorable look. “Guilty!” LeCompte wrote. “I created a piece to give Penelope a short Audrey Hepburn-esque fringe, without the commitment of growing it out if she didn’t like it.” If you’re like us, then you were wild about the look. LeCompte’s advice for trying a similarly sneaky technique at home? “Get a great piece that matches your hair color exactly—and have your stylist cut them.” Wise words, indeed.

Michelle Obama Met Kate Middleton Today!

Be still our hearts! Two of our favorite fashion icons met for the first time today: Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton! The First Lady stopped by Buckingham Palace during the Obama family’s European tour, where she had a chat with Queen Elizabeth and the new Duchess of Cambridge. Obama wore a pale green embroidered frock by Barbara Tfank paired with a cropped pink jacket, silver kitten heels, a glittery brooch, and ruby and amazonite Phillips Frankel earrings, while Middleton opted for a geometric-cut Reiss dress ($340) and a simple black clutch. Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas’s Dancing With the Stars Style

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas were one point shy of perfection on last night’s episode of Dancing With the Stars. The couple, who racked up 59 points out of a possible 60, delivered a sensational samba with more than enough sizzle for the judges before ending their night with an urban freestyle routine. Kane and Ballas have now held the top spot for three weeks in a row and they definitely have their eyes on the prize. Meanwhile, we’ve been keeping our eyes on them, tracking all of their belly baring, fringe-filled, and sparkling sequined ensembles! Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: All Their Outfits from Dancing With the Stars!

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy may not have earned the perfect score they wanted on last night’s episode of Dancing With the Stars, but the pair did impress the judges with their improvement! For their first performance, Alley and Chmerkovskiy took on the samba again, but it was during the freestyle routine that they really shined. The 60-year-old actress surprised everyone by doing a cartwheel, causing judge Carrie Ann Inaba to title her “the new poster child for life as it should be lived at 60 years old!” With a score of 54, Kirstie and Maks are 5 points behind the two other pairs going into tonight’s finale, but that doesn’t mean they’re out of the competition! Whether they win or lose, we’ve had fun watching them give it their all every week, and now we’re revisiting all of their looks from this season!
