New Couple Alert: Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen

May 19, 2011 @ 5:30 pm

Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen met on the set of Woody Allen’s newest film, Midnight in Paris, and the cast hit it off: “When you work on a Woody Allen film, it creates a real company atmosphere,” Sheen explains. “Owen [Wilson] and myself and Rachel and Nina [Arianda]–we had a fantastic time.” Fantastic time at that: McAdams and Sheen went public with their relationship just two days ago.

As the new couple made the red carpet rounds, Sheen awed at McAdams’ style. “She knows what she’s doing,” he told InStyle. “She has phenomenal taste. Hopefully some of that will rub off on me.”

Bonus trivia: If Sheen looks familiar, it’s because he played Aro in Twilight: New Moon Check him out in character after the jump!

Christian Lacroix Gave Chivas a Makeover

May 19, 2011 @ 4:45 pm

Here’s something to glam up your summer cocktail parties: Christian Lacroix teamed up with Chivas Scotch whisky on a limited-edition bottle makeover. The decadent design features a crystal-encrusted label and comes nestled in a Jacquard-fabric-covered box. “The encasing was inspired by a French renaissance reliquary which we have recreated with the symbols cherished by both Chivas Regal and the Christian Lacroix House—the Lion, the Crest, and the embroideries of a torero’s cape, the 20th century knight,” Lacroix’s Creative Director Sacha Wolkoff told InStyle. “As for the bottle, we have dressed it with a hand embroidered brocade escutcheon, such as were the doublets from the Middle Ages.” The bottle hits shelves tomorrow, and New Yorkers can purchase it at Astor Wines for $495. Cheers!

Beyoncé’s “Run the World (Girls)” Video Is Here!

May 19, 2011 @ 12:00 pm

Beyoncé debuted the music video for her new single “Run The World (Girls)” on American Idol last night! “It’s definitely riskier than something a bit more…simple,” Beyoncé told Billboard.com of the song. “I just heard the track and loved that it was so different: it felt a bit African, a bit electronic and futuristic. It reminded me of what I love, which is mixing different cultures and eras — things that typically don’t go together — to create a new sound.” Beyoncé also mixes styles in the clip, as she dances through an African savanna in shattered mirror Gareth Pugh heels, golden harnesses, and couture gowns by Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Alexander McQueen. What’s your favorite “Run The World (Girls)” fashion moment? Let us know in the comments!
