That’s the question we’re all wondering after seeing the exquisite Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown Catherine Middleton wore to marry Prince William on April 29th. Turns out, it may go on public display! “The Duchess of Cambridge is considering a number of options to give members of the public the opportunity to see, close-up, the skilled British craftsmanship that went into the making of her wedding dress by Sarah Burton and her team as well as the Royal School of Needlework,” the Clarence House said in a statement to Britain’s Telegraph. In the meantime, Burton is in New York right now—not giving any hints about the future of the gown—in celebration of the new Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibition opening dedicated to her designer mentor and the founder of the label, Alexander McQueen, which opens to the public today.
