Eva Mendes and Rihanna Raise Money for Leukemia, Spain Welcomes RPattz, and More!

Eva Mendes and Rihanna partied for a cause when they attended the annual DKMS Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, which raised $2.5 million for the fight against leukemia. Mendes chose a floaty white chiffon frock with a black sash by Prabal Gurung, while Rihanna went for a lacy gown with a plunging neckline by Louis Vuitton. Before the event, Rihanna tweeted, “Pullin up to DKMS Gala! Lights, Cameras…..ACTION!!!!! #Werk.” The singer was honored with an award recognizing her for work in raising awareness about the disease. Meanwhile, in Washington D.C., Michelle Obama shared a laugh with comedian Seth Meyers at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and over in Barcelona, Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson got cozy at the Spanish premiere of Water for Elephants. Katie Couric Designed Her Own Glasses, And You Can Get Them!

Katie Couric may be resigning from her role as anchor of CBS Evening News in June, but she’s got other things to keep her busy—like designing glasses. The newscaster and author of the new book The Best Advice I Ever Got: Lessons from Extraordinary Lives, teamed up with one of her favorite eyewear companies, Eyebobs, to create her own pair of reading glasses named “Katie’s Close Up.” “Katie Couric embodies the spirit of Eyebobs—smart, stylish, and sassy,” Eyebobs creator Julie Allinson told InStyle of working with the television star. The frames are available for a limited-time only for $75, currently on Eyebobs.com and at Ilori stores. And just as Couric is donating a portion of her new book sales to Scholarship America, Eyebobs will donate a percentage of the proceeds from sales of the glasses to the same charity.

Kate Middleton’s $90 Zara Dress

Kate Middleton really is the people’s princess! The first outfit the new Duchess of Cambridge wore after changing out of her Alexander McQueen wedding gowns was a $90 pleated dress from Spanish fast-fashion chain Zara. She paired the blue polyester frock with a braided belt, cropped black jacket, and patent leather LK Bennett wedges—the same footwear she threw on for her pre-wedding rehearsal. And Kate isn’t the only Zara fan in her family—Pippa Middleton wore a nautical cobalt blazer from the retailer when she left London’s Goring Hotel this weekend. Where to Get Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress Look!

Brides to be, take note! Replicas of Kate Middleton’s wedding dress looks are already in production. ABS already created a long-sleeved lace gown with a plunging neckline (right) similar to the stunning Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen design Middleton wore, while a silk organza ballgown Theia showed this month is almost identical to the strapless dress the Duchess of Cambridge changed into before heading to her reception. ABS designer Allen Schwartz expects his gown to sell for around $400, with deliveries beginning on June 30th, and Theia‘s $1,995 McQueen lookalike will hit Nordstrom stores in September. While billions of people watched Catherine Middleton emerge from her Rolls Royce in an Alexander McQueen gown to marry Prince William in the wee hours of Friday morning, another style star emerged that day: Pippa Middleton. The 27-year-old little sister of Kate captured the world’s attention with her slim-fitting Alexander McQueen maid-of-honor gown, fashioned from the same fabric as her sister’s dress. And her fashion show didn’t end there. For the evening reception, Pippa changed into an emerald green gown, custom made by Alice Temperley of Temperley London and shoes by Aruna Seth.
