Jessica Simpson took home the Style Icon of the Year award at Us Weekly‘s annual Hot Hollywood party in L.A. last night, and she seemed pretty surprised by the win. “I’m not really that stylish, but I do know how to make a woman look beautiful, and when I want to look great, I know how to make it happen,” Simpson (in Etro) told reporters. She posed with Kathy Griffin (in Dolce & Gabbana) on the carpet, who told us, “I love Jessica Simpson! Fergie’s new lineup of spring footwear is out, and it’s full of cute open-toe options that will leave your toenails entirely exposed. Fergie also let us in on another secret—even pop stars aren’t immune to stiletto wobbles! “Oh, I’ve fallen on my face several times,” she said of her high-heel experiences. Her stay upright advice? “Put grips on the bottom!” She doesn’t include high-risk shoes in her line, though. “These new shoes are for a girl, like me, who is going to buy a pair of shoes and try to wear them in different ways,” she said.
