The royal wedding is exactly one week away, and Kate Middleton has been keeping busy by finalizing her wedding-day makeup—which she plans to do herself! The princess-to-be applied her own cosmetics for her Mario-Testino-shot engagement photos (shown at left), and she liked the results so much that she’s been taking private lessons with makeup artist Arabella Preston to prep for the big day. Meanwhile, Middleton’s sister Pippa was spotted scooping up a pair of strappy jeweled sandals at British department store Selfridges, leading the public to wonder if they might be making an appearance at the event. Katy Perry performed her hit song “E.T.” alongside Kanye West on last night’s episode of American Idol. While her stage look wasn’t quite as dramatic as the fawn legs and alien-esque makeup she sports in the video for the single, Perry still brought some otherworldly style to the show via her towering headdress and space-age jumpsuit encrusted with 25,000 Swarovski crystals. The outfit was created by designer Yasemen Hussein and CuteCircut —the same folks behind the famous light-up gown she wore to last year’s Met Gala. Click through the gallery to see more of Perry’s intergalactic look, and view the video after the jump! Tell us, what do you think of her stage style? More
