“It was like summer camp!” Emma Roberts (in Burberry) told us about filming Scream 4 when we caught up with her at the Hollywood premiere last night. “We all had a really good time.” Roberts and co-stars Hayden Panettiere (in Zac Posen), Courteney Cox and Neve Campbell also had a good time catching up at the horror flick’s after-party. In New York City, Evan Rachel Wood and Alexis Bledel hit the Museum of Modern Art for a more low-key (though no less star-studded) premiere of Robert Redford‘s Civil War drama, The Conspirator. And that’s not all. See more photos from last night’s hottest parties in the gallery.
It was classical week on Dancing With the Stars, and in keeping with the theme of things that are timeless, the contestants wore old Hollywood-inspired hair and makeup. We caught up with the show’s makeup artist Melanie Mills, who let us in on how she created Petra Nemcova’s sultry look. “Petra performed a fierce and dark Paso Doble number, and I wanted to evoke old Hollywood glamour with big lashes, bright lips, and strong eyebrows,” Mills told InStyle exclusively. She used Anastasia Illumin8 Eye Shadow Palette in #2 ($40; sephora.com) to create Petra’s smokey eye, blending the matte chocolate shadow over the lid toward the crease. Mills then ringed Nemcova’s eyes with a brown liner pencil, and used a matte burgundy lip liner to create her dramatic dark pout. See Kendra Wilkinson’s look after the jump! More
Ashley Tisdale is excited about something today, and it’s not just because photos of her posing nude for a magazine were just released. It’s because she went shopping! The Hellcats and High School Musical star scored her first Birkin bag by Hermès! “After two years of waiting the New York Hermes store came through!! Aaahhh!!!!!” the 25-year-old Tweeted today in reference to the infamously long wait list the store traditionally has for one of these accessories. Tisdale bought a cobalt blue version, one of the most popular colors of spring so far. The Hermès store in New York sells the Birkin bag for $9,000 and up, a salesperson tells us.
H&M’s annual WaterAid collection is here! Every year, the retailer designs a summer collection with international charity WaterAid, and ten percent of the proceeds go to help improve access to safe water and sanitation in the world’s neediest communities. This time around, H&M whipped up rompers, sundresses, water bottles, beach chairs, blankets and men’s espadrille flats—all in summery blue and white prints that remind of Rodarte‘s spring 2011 textiles. The collection drops the first week in May, Nitrolicious reports—just in time to shop for a cause this summer!
90210 star Shenae Grimes changed up her makeup look recently by adding temporary face tattoos! The actress, who was in Japan when the March 11th earthquake and tsunami struck, paints a tiny black heart on her cheek to show support for the disaster’s victims as part of her Spread the Heart Movement. “Normally I spend $5 on a roll of film, but today I’m spreading my heart and donating that money to the Yoshiki Foundation for Japan’s aid and relief,” Grimes says in a video. “Where are your extra dollars going today? Spread your heart and let it be Japan.” Grimes showed her “heart” at the Scream 4 premiere last night (right), the College Television Awards on April 9th (top), and at Vans X Jesse Jo launch party on March 29th (bottom).
