American Idol contestant Pia Toscano may have gotten voted off the show last week—but don’t feel bad for her just yet! The 22-year-old singer recently said that she has big news to announce in the future. “There’s been so many great opportunities,” Toscano told ABC News. “But I’m focusing right now on the tour. Possibly you’ll hear something after the tour.” Could she be hinting at a record deal? Over the weekend, rumors swirled that she signed with Interscope, the same label that represents Lady Gaga and Fergie, but Toscano will not confirm that as of now. No matter what, we’re excited to see Toscano back in the limelight after her controversial elimination, so this is great news for fans who felt she left American Idol too soon!

left American Idol too soon?? sorry, she might have a wonderful voice but she’s sooo boring, like the rest of the girls on the show, that’s why guys are rocking, they look and sound professioonal, the girls play safe boring corny songs
So, to me it was time for her to leave, she didn’t bring anything new or extraordinary to the table.
The american idol have to be a full entertainer artist, great voice, looks, have to leave all in that stage as James does or Casey and Jacob

Before the elimination show I told my husband that Pia was my pick to be booted. He didn’t agree with me. I told him my reasoning and then she was voted off. NO big surprise, so I don’t know what is the big deal. Pia is predictable and boring. She is Kelly Clarkson knockoff and so maybe us fans don’t want that again. The guys are rocking the personalities and the cool songs (except for Stefano.) The other ladies have a niche at least and Pia has no niche. So what if she’s pretty. BIG DEAL. IN fact, that outfit she wore on the night before her elimination STUNK. She should have told Gwen Stefani to shove that ugly, baggy outfit up her conceited designer ass. Ugly Ugly clothes. Did Pia no favors. Pia is gone. Yipee!!

I wish Pia all of the luck in the world and she is a pretty girl but has a lot to learn. Besides being a good singer she also needs to be an entertainer in order to get the fans to come and pay to see her sing. She may get a record contract but if she cannot sell the records they will drop her. At this time she has a really good voice but needs to entertain. She also needs to widen her repertoir and not sing just ballads. Mick Jaggers voice is not that great but he has managed to keep his popularity for many years because when he does a show, anything can be expected. The man uses all of the stage area and he jumps, dances , and keeps the audience entertained. So, I hope that Pia will accept constructive criticism and she will be grow to be an all around talent. She can also watch Adam Lambert when he is on stage. Besides having that fantastic voice, the man also performs. We get a show and people will pay top money to see him. There will never be another Adam Lambert because he can sing anything and superbly. The man did not win Idol but he won with the fans all over the globe who want to see him sing. That Idol trophy should have been his!

Q very well said. Also think about it if she releases an album srlothy AFTER the show ends, it will be in direct competition with the winner’s album. Bottom line whenever she releases it, it will either sell well or it won’t. And that will depend not just on how many fans she has out there, but how good the album actually is which to me is all about song choices. She has the vocal talent; few people dispute that. But she can kill her career with bad song choices. Think about the two Kris Allen AI performances that were over the top and basically won him the show (Ain’t No Sunshine and Heartless both were amazing KA interpretations). But his album was mostly up-tempo, with too much background stuff that didn’t showcase his voice. Compare that to Carrie’s first album GREAT song choices that showed even better than Idol what she was really capable of. Hopefully Pia will take enough time with her first album to do the same.
