Vera Wang’s New Bridal Collection Photos

Apr 30, 2011 @ 3:00 pm

Vera Wang pushed the boundaries of bridal design in her latest collection by choosing a more colorful palette. She implemented a range of beige and gray on tulle, silk, and chiffon on a variety of wedding dresses, and she even included one green gown in her lineup. The collection also included pristine ivory and white styles with lace overlays for those who favor a more Kate Middleton-like approach, such as the look seen to the right. Romona Keveza’s New Bridal Collection Photos

Apr 30, 2011 @ 12:00 pm

Did bridal designer Romona Keveza look into the future before creating her latest collection? We think so! Just weeks ago, Keveza showed her 2012 collection of wedding dresses at Bridal Fashion Week, and her lineup included this porcelain white dress with a lace V-neck overlay and sleeves. It looks strikingly similar to the Catherine Middleton wore to marry Prince William! Keveza, known for dressing celebrities such as Lea Michele and Anna Kendrick on red carpets, also showed gowns with short sleeves, off-the-shoulder straps, intricate gathering, and simple satin silhouettes for both her couture and lower-priced line, Legends. Click through the gallery to see the Romona Keveza’s complete new bridal collection for both her Couture and Legends collections!

Priscilla of Boston’s New Bridal Collection Photos

Apr 30, 2011 @ 9:00 am

Bridal label Priscilla of Boston showed its new 2012 collection of wedding dress styles for its six house labels recently, and InStyle scored all of the photos of the new dresses to show you now! Four of the sub-collections for this season—Jewel, Priscilla of Boston, Platinum, and Melissa Sweet—feature dresses with sweeping trains, lace detailing, and even long sleeves, which is quite reminiscent of a Catherine Middleton’s Alexander McQueen wedding dress. Priscilla of Boston’s remaining two lines, Reverie by Melissa Sweet and The Dress, played with shorter hemlines and modern frills. Click through the gallery to see all of the looks from Priscilla of Boston’s six labels—a total of 41 looks!

Kate Middleton’s Wedding Evening Dress: Alexander McQueen!

Apr 29, 2011 @ 8:20 pm

After her wedding ceremony and luncheon, Catherine Middleton changed from her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress into an evening gown by the same designer for her nighttime reception hosted by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace. The strapless satin gown featured a sweetheart neckline, circle skirt, and an embellished waistband. The new Duchess of Cambridge paired the dress with a cropped white mohair cardigan. Prince William changed from his Army uniform into a tuxedo. This morning, the couple left Buckingham Palace for a weekend getaway in the United Kingdom. The Prince will be returning to work as a search and rescue pilot and they will celebrate their honeymoon overseas at a later time, the Clarence House said in a statement.

Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen: Shop the Collection!

Apr 29, 2011 @ 3:42 pm

Catherine Middleton, the new Duchess of Cambridge, arrived at her wedding to Prince William today in a gorgeous lace dress by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. And while her look was made completely custom by Burton—by hand—scoring a McQueen bridal look of your own isn’t an entirely far-fetched notion. The label’s latest on-sale offerings include silk-satin voluminous gowns with trains and light-as-air strapless and halter dresses. Middleton also wore McQueen shoes, and you can currently buy lucite heels, regal gold leaves, and perforated leather detail—statement footwear that would look lovely peeking out below a wedding dress hemline (like Middleton). See more shoppable sweet-meets-edgy Alexander McQueen dresses, shoes, jewelry, and accessories in the gallery. The collection is available now on Net-a-Porter.com and Zappos.com.

Exclusive: Kate Middleton’s Hairstylists Dish on Her Wedding Day Look!

Apr 29, 2011 @ 2:36 pm

Although genius hairstylists Richard Ward and James Pryce are still by Kate Middleton‘s side for the rest of her wedding day (and night), they managed to sneak us an email with the inside scoop about bride’s gorgeous down ‘do. Turns out, it was mostly her idea. “Catherine was very involved in her style and the look was her based on her personal preference,” they wrote to InStyle. “It was a matter of finding that balance between feeling natural and reflecting the occasion.” The style looks fairly simple, but the hairstylists noted that it was actually a thoughtfully-executed look. “The front was swept back in two sections on either side [of her head], and then twisted loosely and pinned gently at the back of the head,” they explained. “Her fringe was draped over her forehead to keep the style soft and romantic.”

PLUS! Click through our gallery to get more details on how Ward and Pryce created the world’s most famous bridal hairstyle!
