Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba was filling in for Kelly Ripa as co-host of Live With Regis & Kelly this morning when her boyfriend Jesse Sloan proposed live on air! During a viewer email segment at the end of the show, Regis presented a fake viewer’s question on how to propose. Then the lights dimmed, and Sloan appeared presenting his girlfriend with a 2.5-carat diamond engagement ring. “Will you marry me?” he asked. Inaba responded yes! The princess-cut sparkler was designed by Rafinity, People reports, and both the bride and groom’s birthstones are hidden in the platinum band. What a unique proposal! The outfits are getting shinier on American Idol! As we continue to watch the show’s tenth season, we’re noticing a bigger push toward statement-making looks. During last night’s Elton John-theme episode, Pia Toscano took the stage to perform “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” in a sheer sequin dress by Jovani. The exact style (#7757) can be found at TheMintCollection.com for $795. Check out the rest of the outfits worn by the female contestants in the gallery.
Drew Barrymore (in Akris) put the squeeze on pal Cameron Diaz (in Victoria Beckham) after presenting her with the female star of the year award at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. “It’s never been about anything but being true to myself and having a great time,” Diaz told Extra when asked to share the secret to her success. “Making movies isn’t easy but it’s a lot of fun!” American Idol alum Carrie Underwood celebrated her movie debut at the Hollywood premiere of Soul Surfer, while Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish and the other sexy stars of Sucker Punch hit the red carpet in London for the UK release of their action flick. Designers aren’t the only ones donating to Japan’s disaster relief efforts—celebs are also coming forward with fundraising ventures. Josh Duhamel teamed up with Tokidoki to promote this charity tee (top right), which depicts a girl helping an injured pal, while Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir co-designed a shirt (top left) with Tadashi Shoji. Proceeds from both pieces will go to the Red Cross. Meanwhile, Gap is also rolling out a series of charity tops (bottom right), with sales going to the GlobalGiving Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund.

Television host and Fashion Police executive producer Melissa Rivers loves a good deal, which is why she just launched a site to make scoring bargains easier. Enter Shoparatti.com, her new website that pulls together the top items from over 80 daily deal sites, so you don’t have to go through dozens of e-mail alerts in your inbox. “My e-mail gets so clogged up with deal newsletters and I don’t have time to read half of them, if any,” Rivers told InStyle, adding that she had already received 18 deal e-mails before noon. “I would miss this and that and it was frustrating. Out of convenience, I wanted to put them all in one place, so you don’t have to miss out on great deals.” As editor of the site, which she launched with partner Gregg Alexander, Rivers goes through the flash sale and group deal sites and picks her favorites to feature (today Rue La La’s Marc Jacobs rainboot sale is one of the featured sales). “My picks are based on quality,” Rivers explained. “I also look for things that are on trend and great basics.” Sign up for Shoparatti.com alerts through Facebook, Twitter, or its mobile phone application. You can also receive a newsletter (but you may not want another one of those!).
